An unidentified 12-year-old boy was charged to court on Tuesday, 1st of November, for allegedly stabbing an 11-year-old boy, Granville Bosel, to death. While there is still no news as to the reason behind the incident, the suspect was later allowed to go under his mother’s protection while investigations are still on.
The victim was said to have been visiting his grandmother on Saturday, 29th of October, while his parents were in the Overberg for the weekend when the sad and very painful incident took place. He was a grade 5 pupil of Danie Ackerman Primary School and a very talented cricket player from Nomzamo.
Spokesperson from Western Cape Police confirmed that the victim, Granville Bosel, died on the scene at a street in Sercor Park after the sad incident.
“The victim, who sustained a stab wound to the chest, died on the scene due to the extent of his injuries.”
