There was trouble in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Tuesday when controversial singer/activist, Charly Boy, stormed the Wuse market to continue his #ResumeOrResign protest against President Muhammed Buhari.
Just a week after #ResumeOrResign protest hit the streets of Abuja, Charly Boy returned to the nation’s capital in furtherance of the cause.
Led by Charly Boy, the protesters left their meeting point at the Unity Fountain in Abuja and took their campaign to Wuse market in the central area – where things went ugly.
They were actually welcomed by large crowds who hailed their efforts, but supporters of the president soon sighted them and began hurling stones and other objects at them.
Cars windscreens were smashed, and people injured in the sudden attack.
Eyewitness say men of the Abuja police command have since taken over the market to restore calmness.

But the protesters have remained defiant, as they said they would be marching to the Presidential Villa on Wednesday, August 16, to mark 100 days of President Buhari’s absence from the country.
