Twenty Nigerian ladies in trousers and mini-skirts were killed overnight by yet to be identified gunmen in the troubled Nigerian city of Maiduguri, Vanguardngr.com has reported.
The online news portal did not reveal the identity of the victims, but said they were killed between 1 and 2a.m today.
Maiduguri, the capital of Nigeria’s North eastern state of Borno has turned a killing field since Boko Haram launched its insurgency against the state in 2009.
Just today, Nigeria’s military authorities declared 19 leaders of the sect wanted, placing rewards of between N50m and N10m for information that can lead to their arrest. Top on the list is the suspected leader of the group, Abubakar Shekau.
