United Nations Peace Ambassador, Ruggedman, stormed Abuja to support the Big Church Foundation, as they had a 3-day charity program for the United World Disability Day in Nigeria.
The United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities is a day set to celebrate every one living with any kind of Disability, hence, giving them a ray of hope; showing them that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
Big Church Foundation showered love, gifts and several goodies on the disabled as the organization hosted the 3 days colorful and thrilling event which included,
Day 1: Visitation to homes of people living with disabilities on 29th,November 2016,
Day 2: Walk for Love, free Eye test & Glasses, Exhibition which will be held at the Millennium Park, Abuja on the 3rd of December.
Day 3: Novelty football Match at the SOHO 24 Sport centre Gwarimpa express, Kado Abuja, Nigeria..that will round up the events.
Dr Olakunle Churchill, CEO, Big Church Foundation, rolled out the drums for this event at this time of the year, in order to assess the current status of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with disabilities and mobilize support from his friends and personalities in the society, so as to lay a good foundation for the inclusion and equity for persons with disabilities. It seeks to increase awareness on how to implement measures to improve lives of disabled people all over the world. The global blueprint for action summon us to “leave no one behind”.
Other artists present were Helen Paul who was the master of ceremony, Praiz, Halima Abubakar, Emma Nyra, Jaywon, Bez, Mamuzee Twins and The Aneke Twins.
