With the country still in shock over the brutal killings at a church in Ozubulu, Anambra State, the Catholic diocese of Nnewi, Anambra State on Wednesday unveiled the identities of people killed and injured in the attack.
On Sunday, a gunman killed some worshippers and left 18 others injured.
In a statement released by the office of the Bishop of Nnewi diocese, Hilary Odili Okeke, the church revealed that two more persons lost their lives following injuries sustained from the attack bringing the death toll to 13.
While soliciting for funds for the care of the victims, the diocese said it had opened a bank account in that regards.
“Anybody, parish, institution, company, society, association or group that would like to join the diocese in providing assistance to the victims and their families can send their contributions,” the statement read.
“We shall keep accurate records of contribution and distribution of the funds”, it added.

Also injured are Udegbunam Obiageli, Ugochi Obiajulu, Chukwueloka Chineze, Oramadike Chioma, Azuka Basil, Oramadike Chiamaka, Uchechukwu Chukwueloka, Nwanya Ngozi, Ngwuta Chinemelum, Asomba Chukwudum, Nnudule Leonard, Muomah Michael and Oramadike Favour.
