The Coordinator of the NYSC in Enugu State, Mr Hillary Nasamu, has assured corps members deployed to the state that they were secure in their Awgu camp.
Nasamu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in a telephone interview in Enugu on Wednesday that all was set for the corps members, who had started arriving in the camp.
He said the scheme was prepared for the new batch of corps members and assured them that the security of their lives was its main priority.
“We are fully prepared for corps members that will camp in Awgu.
“The security of every corps member that will serve in Enugu is our priority; the scheme is ready to protect our corps members.
“The camp is very fine, welcoming and lively to accommodate the corps members,’’ he said.
The coordinator said many of the corps members had reported at the camp since it opened officially, adding that more were still being expected.
He said the scheme would ensure that all corps members participated in the skills acquisition programmes in the camp. (NAN)
