Wilfred Ndidi

Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi picked up Leicester City’s Young Player of the Year gong at the club’s awards ceremony on Monday night.

The Nigerian international joined the Foxex in January from Belgian club Genk, beat Ben Chiwell and Demarai Gray to the award.

He made 15 appearances in the Premier League, scoring twice.

Ndidi told Leicester City TV shortly after the award on Monday night that he feels very happy and delighted to be a recipient on the night.

“Its so great to be rated alongside Demarai Gray and Chiwell,” said Ndidi, whose goal against Stoke City was also nominated for the goal of the season award.“I believe if they had enough chances to play probably they would have won the award.”
