Kenyan BBC Anchor, Sophie Ikenye is mourning the death of her father.
The former NTV news anchor revealed the sad news but did not give details on what led to the death of her dad.
Sophie shared the sad news, revealing why she chose to share such personal information on social media, adding it was meant to honor her late father.
”I don’t post much about my family but I’d like you to know that my dad rests in peace now . He has fulfilled the purpose for which he was created. He taught us many things, one of which is to be strong and the other to be honest in this life. Till we meet again. Thank you for your prayers over my family.”
The Anchor, who joined BBC in 2009 as a presenter on Focus of Africa on BBC world service radio, was in 2016 listed in the inaugural list of 100 most influential young Africans
