‘He had to die to be valued’ – Ali Baba on Stephen Keshi’s demise

ALIBABA-1

Ace comedian Ali Baba has reacted to the sudden demise of former Super Eagles captain and head coach, Stephen Keshi.

The comedian tweeted that Keshi who brought glory to the country by steering his wards toward winning the coveted 2013 Africa Cup of Nations which had eluded the country since 1994 was treated unfairly following the feat.

‘Most of people who asked for Stephen Keshi to be fired as Eagles coach, are now paying glowing tributes to him. He had to die to be valued!, Ali Baba wrote of the perceived hypocrisy amongst some Nigerians.

The tweet drew reactions with a Twitter user replying the comedian: ‘alibabagcfr the fact that people wanted him fired doesn’t mean they wish him dead. Life above everything’. Ali Baba proceeded to clarify his statement, as he wrote, ‘Didn’t say or imply that. I said they are praising him to high heavens now after they discarded him when he was alive’.

‘He had to die to be valued… AKA… Now that he’s dead they value him. AKA… MOST OF PEOPLE WHO ASKED FOR STEPHEN KESHI TO BE FIRED AS EAGLES COACH, ARE NOW PAYING GLOWING TRIBUTES TO HIM. HE HAD TO DIE TO BE VALUED!
