Beyoncé came to slay once again at the 2016 VMAs. The singer showed up relatively early to MTV’s premiere award show on Sunday night at Madison Square Garden.
But it was Blue Ivy who stole the show at the recently held 2016 MTV VMAs as she stepped on the red carpet wearing a dress that reportedly cost N3.4million. According to Yahoo Style, the dress was designed by Mischka Aoki and is from the brand’s spring/summer 2015 collection. Aptly named The Grand Royalle, the made-to-measure dress can cost anywhere between $9,859 (N3.1m) and $12,861 (N4m).
Beyoncé was nominated in 10 other categories. She won Best Pop Video (“Formation”), Best Editing (“Formation”), Best Female Video (“Hold Up”), Best Choreography (“Formation”), Best Cinematography (“Formation”), Best Direction (“Formation”) and Breakthrough Long Form Video (Lemonade). With 24 Moonmen amassed over the years, Beyoncé broke the all-time record for most wins at the Video Music Awards, surpassing Madonna, who has 20 Moonmen.
