Adamawa chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) said it would reach out to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar to woo him back to the party.
Abubakar was a founding member of the opposition party.
Fielding questions from reporters in Yola, the state capital on Monday, Abdulrahman Bobboi, chairman of the party in Adamawa, said the PDP would keep wooing Abubakar.
Bobboi said the wooing became necessary for Atiku to contribute his quota to nation building. He said that the former vice-president was being underutilised in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and needed to return to PDP where his services were needed.
“We are going to reach out to him right from his ward to come back to PDP,”
“APC is not tapping his experience; we that know his resourcefulness will not give him breathing space until he returns,” he stated.
Bobboi further announced that a reconciliation committee had been formed at the state level and would be headed by former Governor Boni Haruna to bring aggrieved members back to the party.
