No fewer than 11 persons have been killed in multiple suicide bomb that rocked Maiduguri, the Borno state capital late last night.
Two explosions occurred at about 9.45 pm in Mulaikalmari, which is about 6 kilometers from Maiduguri town. Eight persons died in the attack.
The injured victims are currently at the state specialist hospital where they are receiving medical attention.
The Chairman of the State Emergency Management Agency, Alhaji Satomi Ahmed, who confirmed the attacks, said his officials of the agency have been mobilised to the scenes of the attacks.
“Thanks to the hard work of our Emergency Response Teams we were able to put together a prompt response, ” he said.
